Ananda is a Sanskrit word meaning bliss. It is also the name we gave the beautiful pond that we live beside. From the time we came here, we recognized it as a gentle place we wanted to share with as many people as possible. "We" are Michael McPeak, photographer and Susan McPeak, poet and photo-media designer. The idea of calling the site Ananda Soup made us smile. After all, what is soup? It's a nourishing food made more enjoyable by friends who gather around the table.
Bookmark us to stay connected to what nature offers us each day and to others who choose to start their day with a touch of quiet beauty. Our goal is to share Ananda with you. A little bliss is a good way to start the day. For more images explore the Galleries, where portraits, abstract images and more nature studies are available.
We are still developing. Soon our Gift Shop will offer products that we are now designing as well as traditional signed and numbered prints. One of the main goals of this site is to support great work being done by non-profit organizations. We will provide fund raising opportunities and always dedicate a portion of our proceeds to non-profits.
We would love for you to share your thoughts with us. The power of this site to become a true Ananda Soup, comes from you, the friends who stop by and those who gather here to start their day with a dip in the wonder of nature and the desire for Ananda for everyone.
